Re: Pictures
Many thanks to Lorna and, particularly, tatewise. By installing the plugin v 0.2, the notes which I had made in Picture Note were automatically repeated in the unnamed box at the bottom of the Edit Media Item and, thence, appeared on my personal website, after I had created a new Publish>Create a We...

Re: Pictures
Mike, have a great holiday.
If, upon your return, you could help, that would be great.
Just remember that I am not very technologically proficient.

Re: Pictures
Lorna, Good point about the frames. I do have some frames but it would be a lot easier to correct the occasional frame than to move every single title note, manually. Since I don't know a plug in from a wall plug, I'll hope that some other helpful soul comes along with a master solution. Thank you.

Re: Pictures
Thanks, Lorna. Your suggestion works a treat. I was unaware of the untitled box at the bottom of the Edit Media Item box. Nor had I understood, "Use Note as Caption." I had been trying, unsuccessfully, to use the options in "Create a Website" to show the Picture Note. I have writ...

v6 WIN7 When I "create a website" in the "publish" tab each photograph appears with its "title". Is it possible to also display "picture note" on the website? If so, how? For example, the photo might have the title Low Family and that title shows as a caption ...

Re: computer crash
Dear Tatewise, Thank you. I was unable to find the installation file for FH Upgrade V5 to V6 that came with its licence key. However, Family Historian Support was very helpful. They sent an easily-followed link to my wife (who had given me v6 as a present), together with a new key. Having done that,...

Re: computer crash
Thank you. I had read the articles you previously suggested but, certainly, did NOT understand. I will uninstall v4 and attempt to find the v5 to v6 upgrade in my data in the Cloud (as I do have the key). Failing that, I will contact Calico Pie, as you suggest. Many thanks. p.s. I'll follow your sug...

Re: computer crash
Dear Tatewise, Thank you for your reply. I believe I have a copy of all the data in the Cloud (at least I hope I do) Following your suggestion, I have re-installed v4 from the original CD. I have then installed updates (v4.1.3) If I follow the link for upgrades from the FH program OR if I go to the ...

computer crash
My Dell PC running Win7 has crashed. I originally installed FH v4 from a CD. I then upgraded, online, to v5. I then upgraded, online, to v6. First question--How do I re-install Family Historian v6 Second question--How do I re-populate the data I had, into the program, once I have it installed? Thank...

Multimedia--show more images on website
In a previous email, I said that I was only showing two images per individual on my website and asked if that were the maximum or if it could be increased. 'tatewise' kindly responded 'checkout http://www.fhug.org.uk/wiki/doku.php?id=how_to:report_content_multimedia_format_layout in the Knowledge Ba...

I have accidentally, and incorrectly, linked hundreds of images to my great-uncle. I want to unlink all of the incorrect images, at one go. However, I have only been able to do so, one at a time. It would take me forever to complete the task. Is there a way I can unlink multiple multimedia records a...

Picture error message
Thank you for your prompt reply and your suggestion. I followed your suggestion which reminded me that I had slightly changed the name of the folder in which I keep my Family History photos. I changed the path for the homepage and the individual page artwork, as you suggested, and that appears to ha...

Picture error message
I last created a website on 3 Aug. Now, on 15 Aug, I am unable to create one. When I attempt to do so, I get error message 'Picture file not found.' Since creating the last website, I have added a couple of pictures, I have deleted at least one, and I uninstalled Kodak EasyShare (but none of my ph...
