The Census setting I referred to is in Ancestral Sources which is a programme specifically designed to assist with entering data into FH - census, b, m, d, etc - with a minimum of fuss. This can be downloaded from the FHUG Home page.
Glad you solved your problem.

Re: Fact Assessment ie census
Gail
Assuming you are using Ancestral Sources to enter your Census data, you can change the Assessment in AS as follows:
In AS
Tools>Options>Census settings (Drop-down under General settings)
Under Sources, change Citation Certainty to Primary Evidence
Hope that helps
Cheers

I have been using V5.1 with the 1939 Register. It is very useful for adding the actual birth date to people who you only had an estimated year for.
Thanks

Mike and David
Thanks, fellows.
I can now create new Source Types to accommodate BMD Indices - that works. Thanks David
Mike. Your summary is correct. The new expressions will do exactly as I wanted.
Again, thanks to you both.

Re: Change from Flags to Expressions for Diagram Icons
David Exactly - AS uses Birth Type (plus the rest), and does not know where the information has come from. I don't know if this can be changed. Mike I use AS to enter all events (B,M,D,Bap,Bur,Cen), which then creates a Source with the relevant Type at the start of the name. However, I may not nece...

Re: Change Any Fact - Missing Facts
Mike Was your success with Version 2.7 Date 21 Dec 2015 or Version 2.7.1 Date 18 Jan 2016? Version 2.7 Date 21/12/2015 Also, why was RESI never mentioned in your earlier postings? My initial posting stated that I wished to change Residence to Census . Your reply to this post mentioned RESI in the <C...

Re: Change Any Fact - Missing Facts
Mike I had the following experience(s): Initially checked <Custom Facts> and, as you suggested, the GEDCOM tags were there. Rather than go ahead with this, I then took note of your upgrade to 2.7.1 and downloaded it. The result was SOURCE Standard >Birth, Census, Death, Occupation: NO <Custom Facts>...

Change Any Fact - Missing Facts
I have used this Plugin before to change Christenings to Baptisms, and now wish to change Residence to Census in one case as per Example 2. Unfortunately I only appear to have 'Census' and 'Death' in the drop-down for Standard facts in both Source and Target. I have checked and everything appears to...

Re: Change from Flags to Expressions for Diagram Icons
The Source Type does not tell me that I used a certificate or parish register for the data entered into AS.
I have now got Expressions in play, basically using David's suggestions.
Thanks

Re: Change from Flags to Expressions for Diagram Icons
I use the Note area at the bottom of the Source panel, as well as the Note area at the bottom of the relevant AS screen. I am creating citations with AS, but some of these come from Online Parish Records in addition to Certificates. I will play around with yours and David's suggestions (in a Copy!),...

Re: Change from Flags to Expressions for Diagram Icons
Thanks, Gents I will take all on board. At present I only record in Notes of GRO B, GRO M, GRO D or AS inputs whether or not I have the relevant certificate. Looks as if I will have to create new Sources for those events which I have a Certificate for. (I still keep the GRO details even after using ...

Change from Flags to Expressions for Diagram Icons
I have been following the discussion 13286|Enhancement or have I missed something? (and earlier ones) re. Flags v. Expressions, and realise that Expressions are the way to go. Presently I use Flags as follows: Birth, Marriage and Death BUT only if I have the certificate (paper or digital) i.e. a GRO...

'Lost' Standard Facts
I have 'lost' the list of Standard Facts (birth, death, census, etc.) from the Add Fact drop-down box. Re: Creating "Waterfall (Indented) Descendant" Charts in FH
I have just done the same thing (didn't know it was called "Waterfall"). As suggested by Davidm, use Descendant Outline Report , tick Life Dates and Connecting Lines . In Format reduce fonts to 9 point. You may need to play around with Numbering and Page Layout, but I have a 7 generation l...

Am waiting to see their response to my Email.
