Re: Using Dropbox for FH data storage
I have been using Dropbox for several years to store My FH projects without any problems. and definitely did not have to export/import credentials in order to open a file. As Mike Tate stated, the credentials are only so that your FMP etc hints are synchronised between the two computers. The path in...

Re: harmonizing TMG9 tag types with FH6 fact types
Easiest way is to use the "Change any Fact Tag" Plugin. You still have to do each fact type individually (Ie education to Education) but it will do most of the legwork for you. It is a very powerful plugin, so it may be worth experimenting with the sample project first. Also remember that ...

Conditional Line in Diagram Text Scheme
I have line in my diagram text scheme to show the relationship pool number.
Is there a way to make this conditional, so that the line only shows if it is NOT pool 1
TIA
John

Re: Sorting in Records window
If you Right Click on any column heading in the records window and choose "Configure Columns", you can choose/change the default sort order for any column (As well as being able to add extra columns)

Re: Relationship between FH and "Find my Past"
You can also have a problem with FMP if you record BMD events with Quarter Dates. FMP ignores them completely.
e.g. if you have an individua; bn Q1 1872, then the FMP hint will show DOB Unknown.
I reported this to Calico Pie over a year ago.

Posts not being marked as read.
Is it just me? Recently, possibly since last windows or Chrome update, posts are not being marked as read. Normally, I will read a post (And I read them all), then go to top, then click on "Home", and the post I have just read has been marked as read. This is no longer happening. To get th...

Use a row filter to
Add if....
%INDI.BURI[1].PLAC%
Contains
and tick the Parameter box
Give the Parameter a suitable label i.e. Burial Place
The when you run it, put in the name you want (Rookwood) and Bingo

Re: Font Sizes Lifespan and Divider lines
If you open your preferred custom diagram on an individual, then choose the menu option Diagram>Settings> save as default settings.
Your diagram style will then be used in all projects.
At any point you can choose to revert to installation settings.

Re: Generations 4.5 to FH6 Queries
Don't panic, I moved from Generations to FH3 many years ago, and thought that I had lost a lot of my data, but it was just in hard to find places (UDF). With FH6 and plugins, the move will be much easier, but you will need to get your head around what will seem to be strange terminology. You may sti...

Re: Female Married Name
With AS and census entries, if you have recorded a marriage event for a couple, then even with the woman on her her own, the auto text will show her MARRIED name.
If you have not recorded a marriage event, the the husband needs to be present for the autotext to show the married name

I was just wondering if that was the behaviour that Nigel was also getting. If FH was running full screen he wouldn't be seeing the pop-up?

Re: Show Project Statistics updated plugin
Mike, I have just tried the latest version 1.9.2.
The pop-up window to reset the grid does appear, but behind FH, so it is not visible. I had FH running on half of my laptop screen, so half of the pop-up window was visible.

Re: Problem with Lookup Missing Census Facts
Hi Mike,
I too noticed the speed when using the add relatives method.
Just a point about the Isle of Man on Familysearch. The Isle of Man is treated as a country in it's own right, probably because a lot of higher ups in LDS have Manx roots.

Re: Problem with Lookup Missing Census Facts
The last browser page always seems to be saved to C:\ProgramData\Calico Pie\Family Historian\Plugin Data on every computer I have. Yes adding Isle of Man would be excellent. Re: Problem with Lookup Missing Census Facts
It was last web browser page I meant. I agree each search has it's own tab on chrome until you shut down or change computers. Is it possible to include Isle of Man in the UK searches? 30% of my individuals are from the Isle of Man, and about 5% of those have emigration events. The Manx can be found ...

Re: Problem with Lookup Missing Census Facts
Mike,
The plugin now does not seem to allow for the fact that as far as UK census is concerned, the Isle of Man is part of UK (If the use facts option is selected).
Also, would it be possible to have a button to retrieve the last search/results page. I know where to find it, but others may not.
