Re: Forced Logout
It sounds like a session change (perhaps an IP Nat session update). Do you normally use the "keep me logged in" if not that may be worth a try as cookies normally survive session changes.

Have you remembered to go into Diagram options and selected the number of generations to show and set it to a large number?

Re: Search - delay expansion?
I did try that one, but it does not work with display: so it will need a more radical redesign, perhaps having an icon to hover on to view the text rather than the whole line being a target.

Re: Limit lines shown for notes in diagram box
You could use any of the following: Show first 20 characters of first note: =LeftText(%INDI.NOTE2%,20,"")... Show "Has Note" if note exists: =ExistsText(%INDI.NOTE2%,"Has Note") Another option would be to add a box condition to show an icon, just using %INDI.NOTE2% As t...

Re: Chart Query. Why are apparently the same relationships shown differently in a Diagram?
In your example Angela is a spouse of the relative of the root of the diagram, so Child 2 is not a direct relation of the root, this means they will only show up using a separate tree as they are not related. If the child belonged to Kenneth (1972) then they would be a descendant of the root so woul...

Re: unable to enter FHUG site with message Your clock is behind etc
I don't use Outlook, but in the Google Calendar you can set the Timezone for each event. I do this a lot when travelling, it is especially useful for Airline times. You can do the same in outlook - see https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/set-the-time-zone-for-a-meeting-or-appointment-in-outlo...

The help update may have been missed. Just log the omission to support, so they can pass it on to the developers.

Re: Version 7.0.19 Install Issue with directory junctions and one drive
It is impossible to build an installer to cover every eventuality. Especially when users such as yourself are using complex and heavily customised systems with directory junctions and network shares. I suspect the likely the problem was caused by One Drive locking files the installer needed and had ...

Re: Version 7.0.19 Install Issue with junctions
Have you tried downloading the program direct and reinstalling? The program downloaded from the install7 page is exactly the same program the upgrade process uses so there should be no problems. There are a few possible reasons for a failure, but the most likely is a problem with one drive or the ju...

I refer you back to my earlier post: On the Source Record list you should be able to widen the columns. This is the default used for the Source selection dialogue. So open View>Record Lists>Sources, View>Record Lists>Repositories and change the width there for columns used on the record selection.

It is covered earlier on the page, Nick is correct the base price is per installation. So the minimum price is 5 times the base price plus VAT if you are in the UK or EU.

Re: Server stopped responding errors
I am not getting any resource overload errors sent to me. If you can provide the exact time when you get a problem I can look through the error logs, as we have a shared host it's possible another site on the server is slowing the server down.

Re: Plugin Rename Source Media
If you rename the file does your current windows version correctly support the file names?
If so the plugin may need rewriting completely to use the unicode compliant routines. Unfortunately I will not be able to look at this as I am soon off on my travels.

Please could you post a screen shot of the error.
I suspect the plugin will need changing to launch a web browser.
If that is the case I will put it on my todo list.

Re: Best way to print family tree for 80 year old
A little tale: I printed a huge 5m by 2m tree using an all relatives diagram for my Dad's cousins get together, everyone enjoyed looking at it, but the only place I could put it was on the floor of the hall, so the biggest problem was getting all the over 80's people up off the floor once they had a...

Re: Identifying several individuals from one source
My normal method for this is to use the prepared citation window to set up the source and then turn on automatic citation to add the facts as needed manually. With automatic citation turned on this will add the citation to each new fact, or you can copy and paste the citation to each fact in the nor...

Another useful option is to save your columns as a custom query, that way not only can they be easily recovered if needed, you can have multiple "sets" of columns which can be switched around as needed.

Re: Background Image -"image failed to load"
I suspect there is something "odd" about the way your image editing software is saving the image, perhaps a compression routine FH does not understand.
Have you tried saving it as a bmp or standard jpg (watch out for colour space options as well).
