Re: Important: Forum update
I have adjusted the popping in and out so it only happens if you hover over a link for 1 second or so. The advantage with the full search is it includes results from the Forums and Knowledge base and not just the forums. If you want to use the forum only search just use the Advanced search.

Re: Important: Forum update
The default search at the top of the forum now uses the algolia search.
Clicking on the "Advanced search" link will search with the built in forum search.
Using the in forum search under the blue bar also uses the forum search only.
This is the same as before the upgrade.

The list is maintained by activity so will remove a user once they have been inactive for around 5 mins. It is a standard function of phpBB so anyone interested can check out the phpBB documentation. Re: Memory management in fhSQL() and ADODB
A good way to debug into fhSQL is simply to copy the code into the top of your test project, rather than including it that way you can debug down into it.

Unless you changed the location it will have been saved in the Public folder of your Project, you can open the folder from the Project Windows more tasks button once you have selected your Project.

Re: The hints facility keeps crashing FH!
Note: CP are aware of the problem, which appears to have been caused by a Windows Web View 2 update.
They are working on the problem.
In the meantime the recommended option is,
go to Tools>Preferences and change Internet Data Matching to use the External Browser options.

I assume you are using an individual query.
Copy the Announcement 2 in the columns tab, by selecting it and then selecting Add
Then edit the new column, there will be a number [2] change it to [3]

The display options on the selection are not passed to the report other than the records, you can turn off the dates for the report in the report options.

Re: Options for 'How Related Report'
I would have thought all the options were fairly obvious. Show life dates simply shows or hides life date in the result box. Show record ids include the record ids in the output box. Blood relationships only shows relationships by blood so your Mother not your Mother in Law Max Relationships maximum...

If you still have "married", check you do not have a blank marriage event in the fact tab.

In the plugin store there is a testing plugin for checking your changes to the language plugin which makes it easier to find the problem.

You probably had a write error on your disk, or some other damage occurred.
If you do not have a recent backup, try restoring one of your snapshots from the More Tasks menu.

Re: FH running slow
One thing to try, is check your default printer is available, or change the default printer to the FH PDF printer.
Charts always "talk" to the printer driver when opening, so it is possible the printer drivers are waiting for the printer to be ready.

Re: {'statusCode':400,'error':'Bad Request','message':'Invalid cookie header'
The problem is at Find My Past and not the Family Historian end, as they are not correctly handing expired cookies. To reset the cache, which normally fixes the problem, go to Tools>Preferences and press the Advanced tab and select the clear internet cache using the option there and restart Family H...

You should not need to go to PDF if you have the printer set up for roll. You can simply print directly to it. Just check the page settings and printer settings in the File menu before printing. When my husband had access to a roll printer we were able to print many long prints directly and My histo...
