Text not displaying on screen
Hi I've had the most peculiar problem. After creating a report, only the images but no text is displaying - although when the print, both text and images are there as expected. I'm running the current Family Historian under Crossover Version 19.0.2 on a Mac running Catalina. With thanks in advance.

Re: Advice to using Historian on a Macbook Pro
Thank you Shane, that works because FH is running in a genuine Windows OS. But there are significant costs both for VMWare Fusion (£70+) and Windows 10 (£100+) on top of the FH licence. True, though Windows is a one-off cost, and Fusion is updated only occasionally, admittedly at a not insignifican...

I'm running FH under Windows 10 and VMWare Fusion on my iMac.
It works for me.

Re: Can't make multiple selections with CTRL-Click in FH 6.2.7 running under Win10 and VMware Fusion
Can you clarify what you mean by the Record Links list? Are you referring to the list obtained by selecting a single record and then using View > Record Links ? In that list of links it has never been possible to select more than one record because the Go To action opens the Property Box for the se...

Re: Can't make multiple selections with CTRL-Click in FH 6.2.7 running under Win10 and VMware Fusion
I noticed the same today after updating VirtualBox yesterday (I wonder if they are using the same base) I did, however, manage to do multi select with the mouse and the shift key. Thanks Colin As you'll see from my other posts, this issue is specific to one list (Record Links) in FH. Weird! Regards

Re: Can't make multiple selections with CTRL-Click in FH 6.2.7 running under Win10 and VMware Fusion
Shane, See - http://vcdx56.com/2019/01/vmware-fusion-keyboard-mouse-not-working/ - Hopefully it might provide the solution, but I don't use VMWare so can't test. Apple have upped their system security in recent OS updates, including introducing 'software notarization' whatever that might mean, whic...

Re: Can't make multiple selections with CTRL-Click in FH 6.2.7 running under Win10 and VMware Fusion
There is no problem in native FH v6.2.7 in native Windows 10 v1803 so I suspect VMware Fusion . That is a fairly rare configuration, so I doubt if many, if any, other users have that setup. As usual with things that once worked and now don't work, the question is what changed in between? Have any o...

Can't make multiple selections with CTRL-Click in FH 6.2.7 running under Win10 and VMware Fusion
Hi all The subject lines says it all. I find I can't make multiple selections using Control OR command OR Option-Control + mouse click in FH running under Windows 10 on a Mac and VMware Fusion. I could do this previously, but not now. Anyone have this issue - or even better, does anyone have a solut...

Using address and place fields
This has probably been addressed before and if so, I apologise but ... do many people use both the Place and Address fields when recording details?
I get that they're different (sort of) but I'm not sure what the benefits are of using both.
No doubt I'm missing something!
Regards

Re: Charting Companion add-on.
I decided to buy Charting Companion to give me a few options beyond those provided by FH - and I'm getting some weird results. If I open the FH example file, CC works - as it does if I export my live family data to a GEDCOM file. However, CC does basically nothing if I use it to open the live FH GED...
