Is there a way to format =FactOwner(%FACT%,1,MALES_FIRST) as Surname first in a query so that the query output can be sorted alphabetically by person?

Thanks for the responses. Jane and Mike Tate have helped me to understand the complexity of the issue. Since it occurs quite rarely, and you are almost certainly aware of it when initially entering the data, i think something like Mike Loney's solution would work for me.

Brothers marrying sisters
There are two brothers George and Harry in one family and there are two sisters Sarah and Mary in another family. George marries Sarah and Harry marries Mary. I am hoping there might be a query which allows me to search for this occurrence.

Thanks for the replies. Exclude if %INDI.OBJE[1]>% is null seems to give me only the object which has Preference 1 in the property media box for an individual, it does not give the full name of the object (ie the path and the extension are missing) and it only seems to give about half the results I ...
