I didn't realise I didn't have to choose an option from the Generic Type drop down menu when creating a new source.

Is there a way to add a generic source type eg 'Newspaper Report' as I don't want to edit/change my 'Newspaper Article' generic source type?

I have tried right clicking on the type in the Generic Type column but the 'add generic type' is greyed out

Cloning the 1911 census and then editing to conform with the 1921 census info is exactly what I was looking for.

1921 UK census souce data entry

Thanks in advance for your help. I'm currently running FH v7.0.9 and do not use AS. I enter source info via a 'prepared citation' and then via 'text from source' I add the info using 'add to source record' and choose the appropriate template eg 1911 UK census. Please can someone tell me how to add the Ahnentafel number as a column in the individual records list. I will not be changing the root person who is AN 1. I have managed to copy and paste Mike's expression so it appears at the top of the property box
