Re: Getting The Most from Family Historian 6 now available

Just to confirm the above... I ordered a copy from Amazon on 27 April. Arrived on 30 April even though I asked for 'Standard' (Slow!) delivery. Price? £14.95 with 'free' post and packing, as I added another item from my wish list to bring the total up to the minimum for 'free' delivery. Bi the bi, t...

Re: Pre-release of version 6.1

Re: Windows 10

I would support 'Tatewise's recommendation to wait a while. I am on the Insider 'Fast' link with a 'secondary' PC so I get updates quicker but less well tested. Re: Windows 10

I have been 'playing' with the Preview versions of Windows 10 since last October. The latest Preview is 'nearly there' ; I think most people will welcome the update (even those who have to pay for it!) as it allows a lot of flexibility in the User Interface. You can set it up to be similar to Window...

Re: FH V6 My Heritage Hints

I do not agree 'that data on any device (smartphone, tablet, or computer) that is ever connected to the Internet or a Wireless network is 'In the Public Domain'.. I have a front door on my house to facilitate access but that doesn't mean anyone can come in and take what they want! :) In a perfect w...

Re: FH V6 My Heritage Hints

I have followed this thread with interest... I agree entirely that such links should be on an Opt-In basis. However, I am very much a novice with both Family History and Family Historian and consequently any assistance is always welcome. I was aware of 'Internet Data Matching' from the pre-release a...
