Re: Linking to sites and files outside of Family Historian
Hi Mike, Thanks for your prompt reply. Sorry if I apparently contradictd myself. I see what you mean. I think I meant that I do not want to go out of FH to find the link elsewhere. Some of the documents which I would like to link to are more than 60 A4 pages long, I do not know what the capacity of ...

Re: Linking to sites and files outside of Family Historian
Hello Mike, Now I am totally lost. Thanks for the demo. video which at least has enabled me to have the'Media Link' Option available. However I do not see how I can put the URL for the data I want to link-to into the record. I am afraid that I really need step-by-step instructions, which point me in...

Linking to sites and files outside of Family Historian
I can only find a way to link to media files stored within Family Historian itself using the tab 'Media'. Is there a way to link to a location outside of FH? My need relates to the searching process for any individual where I discover new information and want to be able to get back to that discovery...

Re: Boyds Marriage Index
Hi Mike, I have spent some time experimenting with AS and looking at the tutorials and now realise that the problem I have is only loosely related to AS but is more to do with FH. I propose to end this question and start again with the question that I really need to answer. That is 'Linking to sites...

Re: Boyds Marriage Index
Thank you Mike,
I am a fairly new user of AS. Perhaps I need more practise. I'll go away and and try again and again . . .
Thank you
Jerry

Re: Boyds Marriage Index
Hi Mike, I realised after I had to go out yesterday that my question was rather curt and inadequate. I meant to add to it this morning, but time just fled by. I have some records from the second half of the 1700s which have only 7 pieces of information in addition to the source indicator - Boyds Mar...

Re: Plugin ToDo for MS Onenote
Hi, I'm an avid, long-term user of MS OneNote, its actually very capable. Having read this thread so far I am not sure what others want to do, if you want to move an electronic document or to 'scan' a part of a webpage the OneNote function is Insert>Screen Clipping. When you click the ribbon icon On...

Re: Dealing with more than one possible relative
There are numerous ways of doing this and I hope other forum members will share their methods (I am certainly interested to see what others do). One fairly simple way is to add a new (unrelated) individual, enter the data that you have and then using the Edit Menu (Edit > Add to Named List) add the...

Dealing with more than one possible relative
I have been fiddling about with my family tree for about 3 years; I have my scribbled notes and a boxfile with some information. I have recently bought FH 5 and am quietly learning how to use it. This question may not be specific to FH but I am finding possible alternative relatives around the 1850-...
