Mine was going to be 7 ft tall or thereabout, so I took Jane's advice and did separate maternal and paternal ancestry charts. My husband will have the all-relatives chart on Dropbox for reference. The KB article was helpful, though.

Thanks to you both for your replies. This is just too complex for me to attempt now. It looks as if the easiest thing would be too create a new database and use it to run the tutorial(s) - what with all the settings changes needed.

I'm far from an expert, Mike, but it looks OK to me.
Hopefully, I won't have too many problems when I export from FH to TNG!

Attached is an image of the settings I changed to make the links active in my Gedcom. Hope this helps someone else.

Why not just go and play with the settings, you can always restore to Installation Settings when done. Thanks for those links! Why not play? Because I've been there and done that and had a real mess to clean up afterward. Restore to installation settings works for everyone but me, I think! :lol:

Along these lines, are there any visual samples of what effect these settings have on the display? For example, changing the text or different layout options? I would love to see what others have done.

I found the option in TNG to export the media links by changing the file paths to match my FH setup. I then imported the new Gedcom and the media list is now populated in FH and so far everything seems to be connected.
