Sorry, I just can't do this and it is stressing me, even disturbing my sleep.
Thank you for spending so much time trying to sort it out.
I am not sure where I go from here, but I need a break. My brain is frazzled.

Re: One Drive Duplication of Projects
SCOTTS, BORLAND Folders I have attached a copy of what I found in C:Drive . I suspect this is what I should have had for the other Projects. In Documents at File History this is what I found. (folder icon) SCOTTS,BORLAND 18/03/2020 SCOTTS,BORLAND~Dec 2019 (2014_09_30 19_01_21 UTC).fh.data Date creat...

Re: One Drive Duplication of Projects
Mike, All my projects should have media- mainly photographs and certificates. I checked the folders in the new FH Projects by hovering over the folder icon. This is what I found. Is this what you wanted to see? FULLTRE~Harling, Harrison, Richens, Sept 2020. Folders......None Files-FULLTRE~Harling, H...

Re: One Drive Duplication of Projects
Mike, More trouble, I am afraid. I changed the title of the folder to Family Historian Projects as you said. I thought I would click on the projects to see if they would open and this is what I found under the Harling, Harrison, Richens one. The Guthries one seems to be fine- the full project with p...

Re: One Drive Duplication of Projects
Mike, I have sorted out my storage problem, I think, and spent time tidying up my Documents. I have deleted the two Family Historian Folders that I had last week and created a new one- see attachment. I have copied the three "good" folders over from my Project Window. I still got the messa...

Re: One Drive Duplication of Projects
Mike, Mike You did not answer my questions but as you want to see what is in the two Family Historian Project Folders, I have copied over the named Files as follows: FULLTR~Harling, Harrison, Richens April 2019- that worked. When I tried the other one with same name but Sept 2020, it would not copy ...

Re: One Drive Duplication of Projects
Mike, Sorry-I am confused. Do you want me to go ahead and copy over the "good" Projects from my Project Window into Family Historian Projects 2? Is the message about a folder within another folder not important? I do have the other Project folders listed in Documents scattered amongst othe...

Re: One Drive Duplication of Projects
Hi Mike, I used Destination instead of Location- where the Projects were saved. I had the Family Historian Projects Folder in my Documents, I thought. It contained the Sample Project and older copies of my FH Projects. I removed the older Projects which I have saved in Google Drive and on Flashdrive...

Hi Mike, I started to follow your instructions but got this message. I think I may have had the folder already from some months back but somehow the destination was later changed. I have copied the first Project over but thought I had better not go any further. See "Message re Project copy"...

Re: One Drive Duplication of Projects
Hi Mike, I have now created the Family Historian Projects Folder in My Documents. I could now save the current Projects to it. Should I now create a new folder there and save/backup the old irrelevant projects to it? eg Temp. FH Folder? Then I could delete them from this Folder? Would that work? She...

Re: One Drive Duplication of Projects
Hi Mike, I have been examining my laptop storage, the Knowledge Base and Google Drive to see if I can work out what I have done wrong. The storage on C Drive\ Users\ sheen\documents dates from when I got my new laptop in Jan 2020 with W10. When I installed FH on it, I must have chosen this target. I...

Re: One Drive Duplication of Projects
Hi Mike, I transferred a variety of files, some not to do with Family history at all, but also a few Certificates and photos that I found and thought that I had not copied into my Trees at FH. I wanted to clear any important files off the old Laptop before I dispose of it. I later plugged the Flash ...

Re: One Drive Duplication of Projects
I have a similar problem to Joanchop above. I decided to save files from my old laptop to a flash drive in order to transfer them on to my new laptop. Some of these files were from One Drive where I had saved many other files. I did NOT transfer any FH projects from the old One Drive folder, as I ha...

Re: Narrative Report Heading how to change it?
Sort of on the same topic-- I often use Descendants by Generation Narrative Report to send to distant relations and I read it through before converting to pdf and sending. Then I find all my typos! Is it possible to edit these within the Narrative Report or do I have to go back to the record notes t...

Re: Census & BMD collection
With reference to using the search rooms at Register House, Edinburgh or the Mitchell Library Genealogy Centre, Glasgow, I have used these sources and would just like to say that, unlike using ScotlandsPeople online, you CAN view any or all the Certificates/ Census or Old Parish Records you are inte...

Hi, I have recently upgraded to V4. I like to use narrative reports especially 'descendants by generation'. The Report options on the dropdown list is greyed out. How do I get this back? Chris, I am surprised that no-one has seen fit to comment on your article as it is very clear and helpful. I have been irritated too by these so-called matches which aren't. Now I can do something about it. Despite this, I have had some useful 'hits' and been in touch with lost cousins. Thanks for i...
