Re: Source help

William,
To find out where a source is used highlight the source in the source records window. Then click on "view" along the top and then select "record links".

Gareth,
If you go "tools" then "preferences" then "internet data matches" you can enable or disable Find My Past and My Heritage as you wish.

Ron,
Click on the source in the source list and then go "view" and then select "record links" This will give a list of all individuals using that source.

Re: Age at Burial

But the real point of the OP is that his/her burial fact did not offer a place to record age whereas my burial fact and presumably other peoples does have a place to record age. Why would that be?

Re: Age at Burial

My standard "burial" event includes a place for age. I use it often where parish registers give the age of a person when buried. It gives a fairly good indication of birth date and death date and for pre 1837 it is probably the best information available for those two.

Re: Fact type "event"

You can just create your own custom event [or attribute] by using "tools" "fact types" and then "new". You could, in your case, create an event fact for "Petition to Parliament" and use the "fact definition" panel to make adjustments as you wish. You...

Re: Font change Ancestor Diagram

Use the font change option in the available items in the left hand column of the edit text scheme pane (you can see it in your attachment - 4th line down).
Then you are presented with a panel "edit text scheme item - font". There you can change the font style and size etc.

Print and Print set-up help button

When looking at a diagram and going "File" and selecting either "Print" or "Print Setup" you are presented with a small panel which has a Help button in the bottom left corner. On the installation on both of my computers this Help button is active but when it is pressed...

Re: Changing the name of a Record Flag

Could you not change the name twice? The first time change it to something very different to "marriage certificate" and then the second time change it to the required correct spelling that you want.

Re: Columns in media list window

Bill, Yes I get that effect also. I think Calico are saying that for now configure the columns in the record window media tab. These columns should then be reproduced in the media list window. That method works ok for me. The reply says that the columns should be able to be configured equally from b...

Re: Merging 2 trees -

You could make a copy of each of your two trees in FH and then merge these two copies to form one combined tree. This you could then add to Ancestry. Your two original trees in FH would be left as they were. Having said that I can see no advantage in having separate trees for the different sides of ...

Karl
My understanding is that FH plots places and not addresses.
I do not know of a way to plot at address level.
But it would be a good feature for a future version of FH.
