Individual Narrative Reports
I want to place the heading, ie the individual's name (which is automatically left aligned), in the centre of the heading line in Individual Narrative Reports.
I presume it's in options/format/heading but I can't see how to do it. Can anyone advise please?

saving/using charts outside FH
I would like to place charts I have prepared in FH into photo albums (either albums of printed photos or in digitally-produced albums eg the likes of Photobox) also send them by e-mail to family. Printing is not a problem, obviously. But can I save a chart outside FH, include it with photos for eg P...

Many thanks to both Mike Tate and Jane for these replies. I shall work on them when I have someone who is more computer literate than me by my side!

Many thanks Jane. What I thought would be a simple matter to paste in the screenprint turned out to be not so. As you will see I use dropbox so as to access FH from different computers. I will explain what I see: In the Current Tree File box is c:documents and settingsmartin thomasmy documentsdropb...

I am in a bit of a muddle (again) with linking photos to records. I thought I had it cracked as to how to change paths, but need advice. The best way of showing where I am now would be to attach a screen print. Can I attach one here or send one separately.
Thanks,
Martin

Individual Narrative Reports
I have revised the setting for headings in Individual Narrative Reports but have lost the lifespan bracketed note after the name, eg (1850 - 1910). I can't find reference to it in the 'heading text' options.
Can you help point me in the right direction please?

OK thanks, I will follow that. Your earlier advice about keeping the links when copying to the laptop worked fine. I will have a look at dropbox too.
Thanks again, Martin

Many thanks for all that advice. Synchronisation, eg with Dropbox, does seem to offer a far easier solution, completely doing way with the need (in may case) to update both the project folder in my laptop and in my desktop? But isn't my photos folder 'outside' the project folder? Does the link to...

Many thanks for this. When I follow your instructions I get to 'more tasks' but 'copy project' is in light print, not accessible. Could this be because of where I keep the project? All my stored data is in one project which for whatever reason I access through the project icon (three green boxes)...

I have copied my FH project, also the folder containing photos to link to records, to my laptop but now find that while the link is still there the photos cannot be seen (just a rectangle crossed through). Is there a simple way of restoring the full link to each one separately, or better still all a...

How to copy FH from my desktop to my laptop
Many thanks to Tatewise and Jane. Simple solution! Don't know why I didn't think of it earlier (in fact I did think of it overnight after sending the original plea for help). Anyway, it's now done successfully. Thanks again.

How to copy FH from my desktop to my laptop
I have used FH for some years on my desktop. I now also have a laptop and want to be able to have FH on it. But how do I transfer the program from one computer to the other? I tried copying on to a memory stick but it's only copied a shortcut.
Does anyone have any tips please?

Thanks for your advice. I'm afraid I didn't explain my problem as well as I should have done! What I want is a diagram with all my grandchildren included at the root level, with their direct ancestors (not all relatives, which would be just too many people). Choosing one grandchild as the root of an...

linking images to records
Advice needed please! I find that I can't access images which I have linked to individual records, getting the message 'unable to load object. error on file open'. I think the reason could be that I have changed the name of the folder where I keep these images. Is there a way I can get around the pr...
