Had no problem with Windows Defender last Saturday when I installed AS 7.8.0

Hi Nick,
just a question, has version 7.8.0 been released yet as I cannot see any mention of it, but when I was on the AS Knowledge Base it says the latest download is v7.8.0? I downloaded it and installed the program and it does infact say its v7.8.0.

Re Short title, have you looed at the changes introduces in version 7.6.7 (Beta)?

Short titles will no longer be recorded if templated sources are used.

I think I have recalled where I wanted to use the COMMAINDEX at least initially. It was to extract the county from the place/address for headings of Parish register entries i.e. Marriage Sol emnized at .... in the County of =COMMAINDEX[2,{PLACE}] I also had some others where I wanted to do similar....

That Folder (Downloads) in the Document Folder was created by FH. It is only created once and then all subsequent updates are downloaded to that folder. My Folder conatins all updates from v7.0.8.2. as that was when I moved to this new computer. The old computer has them going back long before that ...

This is normal for AS if no project is open in AS then the Icons are ¨Greyed Out¨.

Close a project in FH and you will get the same effect for the FH icons.

Thanks Nick, it was only with the last update as I've only made changes to the Auto text templates since using AS on my working project. I will rename all the changed ones and work from there..

Mike Thanks for the info re the tmp files. I don't use auto backup as that's screwed me up before with AS. I backup manually when I make changes and also backup to dropbox when I close FH. The only program I use to open the gedcom outside FH is Notepad ++ and I've never had this problem before FH7. ...

The H: \ is a removable storage device where my genealogy data is stored.

Thanks for all your responses and it appears that this is "normal" on startup. As it doesn't seem to affect the operation of FH once everything is loaded I'll leave it as is.

Lorna, I have my main project already set as the default project so that when you open the FH program it should start with that. Which up until a few days ago it did, but now its started opening with a "Untitled Standalone GEDCOM file (limited functionality)" then opens the Default Project...
