Re: Export Gedcom Plugin - Ancestral Quest

There are better free products such as: Heredis supports Witnessed/Shared Events, Media, but not UTF-8, also iOS and Android apps, but some limitations. All are supported by the Export Gedcom File Plugin. Mike Tate, Heredis 2019 does support UTF-8 I have a full version, and use it to connect to the...

Re: Change census date from Year to full date

If you have recorded the census as a census event, then the date checker in AS can do that for you.

See Knowledge Base > Ancestral Sources > Census Date Check.

Re: FH Support Ticket System Feedback

I have Mozart Music Notation Software (Like Sibelius but better value in my opinion) Mozart is a One Man and his Wife operation. Yet the developer (Dave Weber) takes active part in the support Forum, and when service packs are released he produces a Bug Fix report on his website that lists exactly w...

Re: Duplicate facts

I had previously run the old plugin. No Duplicates found. Ran the new version with only places ticked 200+ duplicates found. Most of those found were from when AS did not merge items with the same date (It does now) But some were from when I had re-entered info (to add source images, and move from m...

Re: Toponymy Version 2 Program

I have just downloaded and tested that it installs under W10 Pro 64 bit. The only issue I had is that first run opens a web help page, and the program has to be run again (Leaving the page open) and opens a second instance of said page but program then runs. However I used to experience the same beh...

Re: Using Dropbox for FH data storage

I have been using Dropbox for several years to store My FH projects without any problems. and definitely did not have to export/import credentials in order to open a file. As Mike Tate stated, the credentials are only so that your FMP etc hints are synchronised between the two computers. The path in...

Re: harmonizing TMG9 tag types with FH6 fact types

Easiest way is to use the "Change any Fact Tag" Plugin. You still have to do each fact type individually (Ie education to Education) but it will do most of the legwork for you. It is a very powerful plugin, so it may be worth experimenting with the sample project first. Also remember that you can un...

Conditional Line in Diagram Text Scheme

I have line in my diagram text scheme to show the relationship pool number.
Relation Pool.JPG
Relation Pool.JPG (56.89 KiB) Viewed 631 times
Is there a way to make this conditional, so that the line only shows if it is NOT pool 1
TIA

Re: Relationship between FH and "Find my Past"

You can also have a problem with FMP if you record BMD events with Quarter Dates. FMP ignores them completely.
e.g. if you have an individua; bn Q1 1872, then the FMP hint will show DOB Unknown.
I reported this to Calico Pie over a year ago.

Posts not being marked as read.

Is it just me? Recently, possibly since last windows or Chrome update, posts are not being marked as read. Normally, I will read a post (And I read them all), then go to top, then click on "Home", and the post I have just read has been marked as read. This is no longer happening. To get the posts ma...
