Re: V7 upgrade
I purchased FH V6 and have gone to the store and selected upgrade to V7. I then follow the login link but my credentials are not recognized. I have a FH account hence ability to post on here. Do I have to register with the "store"?

V7 upgrade
I am behind the curve and only just looking to upgrade to FH V7. Currently on Win 10 using FH6.2.
Wanted to ask are there any recommended steps prior to upgrade. Already created a FH full backup using FH, settings backup using plugin and made a copy of charts.
Are there any other recommended steps?

Age at Burial
I have more than 1 individual where I enter a new "burial" fact and I do not have the option to enter the age at burial. For other individuals I do. I have attached the fact below and would appreciate any help.

producing report of all ancestors
Just wondering how I can produce an output of all related ancestors including their individual facts (BMD, occupations etc). It would be great to include associated media files links although just a nice to have.

Thanks Mike, nice web site and I would be interested in how you generated this as I would like to "publish" one day. Can this be used to link FH media files?

Re: age on marriage cert recorded as "full"
Thanks, I have added a note and a satisfactory display in my diagram:- j and s ages mc.JPG Although I have the text "Age of John Brook" and Age of Sarah Brown". I believe that with no data with a text expresion this should not be displayed. This is something that I have elsewhere and ...

Re: age on marriage cert recorded as "full"
Thanks Jane & Mike,
If I set "Age field to Older than age given below and set Years: 21" will this "kick in" any automatic calculations?
Apologies for being pedantic just I always try to record as-is.
Kind regards Jonathan.

age on marriage cert recorded as "full"
I now have two occurrences where the age on post 1837 marriage certificates is stated as "full":- marriage age full.JPG In AS and FH there would appear not to be the capability to record this as depicted on the marriage cert as I believe it is expecting data in a date format:- full age in ...

relation to head in census
I am very happy with FH charts and relationship to head in census. However, I am wondering if I could do this better. Below William Brooks Dowsett is the son of William Brooks Dowsett. rel to head.JPG Gill, Cole, Ruggles are lodgers whereas in FH facts they would appear to be related from a family p...

removing a person and census relationship to head
This may well be 2 Q's or perhaps more in this post and appreciate your patience with me. So I think that I have incorrectly added Mary Smith as a non married spouse whereas in census she was always a servant for 1830 (local incumbent census), 1851 and 1861. Please see chart below and I will do my b...

Re: Lost data
Thanks Mike,
I do not have the last option regarding FH version to be later than the backup (screen shot below).
What is the risk here e.g. corrupt/lost data/unknown?
King regards Jonathan.

Re: Can online services support FH research?
Agree with all said and there is much out there that is free. Also Family History Society's (FHS) provide free and cheaper options although have experience of one FHS search engine providing no result but a search on FMP providing a result from a transcript from that FHS. Always look where the FMP d...

My bad; yes I meant custom events.
I use FH backup on exit and the plugin backup for customization's e.g. chart text schemes.
Will this backup custom events?
Kind regards Jonathan.

Re: Lost data
Yes I have many backups although the custom source, OSOTPoor, would appear to have gone some time ago. I still have the data so will enter again as this seems the simplest way forward. Do I need to do anything different to ensure customs sources are backed up / carried forward? Having done a number ...

Re: Can online services support FH research?
I guess this will be an ongoing discussion. I have subscribed or is it succumbed! For census and 1837 BMD very good. However, do not be despondent if no results. Use some of their results to look further afield and on line (google). Try a search on findmypast and ancestry for marriage of Thomas G Br...

Lost data
I have some custom expressions for chart data and these still exist and have not changed. However, looking at the contents of the db the data would appear not to be there any more. Going to a 2016 backup I can see the entries for congregation and over seer of the poor. During upgrades I have been ca...
