Re: Ancestral Sources not updating FH6

I am just adding this in case people are not aware. Have any of the people who have been having this problem had the latest Windows 10 update (version 1803) applied?p to their PCs? My update to 1803 has screwed up my Microsoft profile my adding “.000” to my UserID which also affects my myDocuments f...

Census UK Property Box - addition request

@tatewise I really do like this property box, The reasons are due to the structure of each census Year (as opposed to CensusElectRole version) this makes it very easy to see which year one is missing for an individual. However two things I would like to see to improve it further: 1) inclusion of the...

Re: Birthdays (For given day + Month) + Relationship to Someone

Thank you Jane & Mike. They both satisfy a need. Jane's is actually spot on with what i was after, the ability to put any month and day in and get the individuals returned and their relationship to me or any other individual selected from the FH Database. Mikes one is not wasted either. goes to show...

Birthdays (For given day + Month) + Relationship to Someone

I would like to amend the Standard Query that lists all the birthdays for a given Day and Month so that I can apply this to a Family member to show which family members share the same Birthday and how they relate to each other. I cant get the query to include the relationship. What would i need to a...

@arthurk

Thanks guys for the replies, I haven't been in here for a few weeks and have only popped my head in today quickly.

I won't get the time to check out your replies fully until mid July, so will reply properly after that.

Re: Sources, Citations and Methods

@tatewise that's the situation I am finding with reports I generate for others, the sources & Citation list at the end is way too long. I am trying to get my head around what I have done wrong over the years and the quickest and easiest way to correct the situation. Hence the (dumb) questions I have...

Re: Sources, Citations and Methods

Mike It was of interest as many of my earlier entries have zero, little or inappropriate sources against them. Making it difficult for me when I need to cross check something. As I am now retired and have more time to devote to my research I have decided to review a lot more of this forum to see if ...

Re: Sources, Citations and Methods

@tatewise

Thanks mike, yes I realise reporting wasn't intended for that purpose,
but as the other thread was IIRC locked I didn't see another way to ask a question about the previous posts to qualify things.

Maybe your reply above should be in the locked thread, it may help others?

Mike (Tatewise) One other observation. It might be a good idea to add the two new links Into the main thread links, at bottom of this link https://www.fhug.org.uk/wiki/doku.php?id=glossary:sources#sources_and_citations_-_how_to_use_them Instead of having to read through to the second page of this th...

Re: Sources, Citations and Methods

I have made those changes, although the blue arrow does not strictly need clarifying as only one has the Go To Source Record tooltip when the cursor hovers over it. Customising the Property Box Childrens section

Is it possible to customise the Bottom section of the Property box window? e.g. I would like to see if I have the death dates for children in the same window as when I am looking at the parents basic information. I find it a real pain having to go into to each record individually to check basic fact...

AS not including date of entry information

I have started using AS more recently. However I am finding that the inclusion of the source date & source are not being created. This has left me with many entries that I now have to find & manually add the source date and source accuracy (primary, secondary etc). Am I missing something with regard...
