Gedcom
Hi David B, Thanks for your comments, I am waiting for my relative to reply. I like you understood that the Gedcom format was used by most genealogy programs. Have a look at this months newsletter from Lost Cousins : Gedcom files not standardised !! hence my question, can I send data in a non-gedcom...

Thanks Steve for your reply, I am using 2.3 so I will have to upgrade to solve the problem.

A relative of mine would like a copy of our tree. Is it possible for me to copy the tree onto CD without using the Gedcom format.
Thanks

Chart Printing
Thanks Jane for your reply.
I have been in touch with the printers and they require a Gedcom file, picture file, and chart file to be sent as an attachment, how do I send the above.

Printing Family Tree
My tree at present would print out at over 100 A4 sheets. Is there a company who can produce a Family Historian tree on a single sheet.
Thanks

Initials.
Is there a way to display a persons middle name initial in the text box so that the diagram will show-- name- initial-surname etc.when printed out.
Like many others I have family members with the same christian name but different middle names.
I have version 2.3
Thanks

Birth Certificate
Thanks Jane. I know nothing about my G.G M, only her name but I assume that she must live within the Parish where the Workhouse was located ( with a few exceptions ). Needle and haystack come to mind when I start to delve. Thanks again.

Census dates
Probably due to my error, the imported census details from Gedcom Census into F.H. are not in chronological order, is there any way to reorder them.
Thanks

Thanks for your reply. Instead of the edit/merge way, I highlighted the unwanted info. in the family tab and then deleted. Everything now O.K. easy when you know how.[smile]
