Presumably you have noticed that most facts have a similar sentence construction.
i.e. {individual} was xxxxxed {date} {place} {age}.

Consider rearranging some facts into a different construction such as:
{date} {individual} was xxxxxed {place} {age}.
{place} {date} {individual} was xxxxxed {age}.

Welcome to the FHUG. Unfortunately, only media image files of photos & documents (e.g. jpg, png, gif, tif) are ever displayed by FH itself. Other types of media such as PDF and Word DOCX can only be viewed via an external editor/viewer. Therefore, they cannot be displayed in Reports or Diagrams....

I like that wording Lorna, as long as it says "child was" when only one child instead of "children were".

A similar sentence revision would resolve the OP specific sentence when there are no child facts, e.g.
"Joe Bloggs was born to Fred Blogs and Mary Smith."

The tactics suggested in the earlier posts plus a few more such as the FH automatic Snapshots are discussed in the FHUG Knowledge Base article Backup and Recovery.

Perhaps the solution is to rephrase those sentences something like this:
"Fred Blogs and Mary Smith are the parents of Joe Bloggs."
"Fred Blogs and Mary Smith are the parents of the following:"
