Re: Importing from TMG 9.05 > FH 6.2.7.......no exhibits

Wow! That is an interesting outcome. However, a GEDCOM import is NOT as effective at migrating some forms of data as a direct import. See how_to:import_from_tmg|> Import from The Master Genealogist (TMG) for full details. That also has advice on Correcting Problems some of which only apply t...

Re: Importing from TMG 9.05 > FH 6.2.7.......no exhibits

Sorry, but referring back to your very original posting for large project, the "copy any linked multi media files...." box state versus import behaviour is the other way round. I suspect that is a typo.
If the External File Links list has always been empty then forget I asked.

Re: Check Installed Plugins against store - Error

Yes, I am getting the same symptoms.
Either the Plugin Store service used by the Plugin is temporarily out of action or it has been modified so the status expected by the Plugin is not recognised.
The Plugin author Jane will no doubt investigate when she sees this posting.

On that last point, you don't need to create a Residence fact at all, as the Address is recorded in each of the other 20 facts, and will be fairly obvious in any reports, etc.

It is NOT usual practice to add the married name of women via the more (+) button as an Alternate Name . Re: When to stop with Sources

That is a bit like asking how long is a piece of string :D It depends on how rigorous you want to be. But the main thing is to be consistent. By convention the Name of a person is their Birth name as recorded on the Birth Certificate or Baptism Register or whatever other document you have. See how_t...

I think it hinges on whether both your use and the other person's use falls with the GDPR definition of a purely personal or household activity . It also depends on exactly what living person information is involved, and whether they are children for which GDPR is much more rigorous. It would be saf...

Re: Importing from TMG 9.05 > FH 6.2.7.......no exhibits

Custom tags should import into FH OK, but is also dependent on the TMG Master Tag Types definitions. It is important to review any synonymous tags and any 'standard' tags have consistent GEDCOM Tag definitions, as those define the mapping into FH Fact Type tags. TMG custom sentences do NOT transfer ...

Re: Can I join together Individual Summary Reports into one?

You can even customise each Sentence Template to use a tabulated format. See how_to:narrative_report_fact_sentence_templates#tabulated_facts|> Narrative Report Fact Sentence Templates > Tabulated Facts for details. However, if you use a lot of Fact Types it involves quite a lot of customisation.

What do you mean by a bit too squashed up ? If you could explain the problem a bit more clearly there might be a solution. Re: Importing from TMG 9.05 > FH 6.2.7.......no exhibits

In normal use TMG may not encounter the error unless it happen to access those Exhibits that have the problem.
Whereas when performing Backups or Importing then every Exhibit must be accessed and the problem encountered.

Re: i need inspiration as well, and some clever coding

The problem is that d'Aboville codes cannot be treated as a number, and does not sort correctly if treated as a text string. That is because "1.2.3.10.9" sorts before "1.2.3.2.9" instead of after. Sp you have to sort each dot separated number separately, which is probably what yo...
