Re: Error message when saving back to FH
Is G a network drive, or some sort of cloud drive. The error suggests a conflict where something else is accessing the Family Historian file.
Why have you posted this to Ancestry Sources? Did you mean Ancestral Source closes down?

Re: Forcing rollback of changes
You can use the error() function to trigger an error with a message that will prompt the user to roll back changes.
Code: Select all
error('It all went wrong')

Re: Weekly email of forum topics
I have asked Krystal and they say it was only submitted once.
I have looked at the code and it is a really simple build list, loop list, send emails. There is nothing clever in it.
I will have to try and add a lock to stop it if it has started recently.

Yes, I am aware. What is strange is the routine is a simple CRON job with a run time for Wednesday at 8 there is nothing in there to repeat it.

Another option might be the how related report although that does not have the narrative option.

A simple option is of course to Root the report on your Father, or temporarily unlink your Mother from her parents while you produce the report.

Re: Problems with Individual Tabs
If you have a double screen system, try moving to the Primary screen (the one with the Windows start button.
There is a know bug in a couple of Graphics card drivers (mostly the default windows ones I think) which means the screen is sometimes not redrawn correctly on a 2nd monitor.

Re: Deleting living people before exporting GEDcom
I suspect you are being asked for the name of the "Named list" you want to use and you have not created one.
So put in a name you want and then tell Family Historian to create it.

Another way to do this is to use the Export option and use the query to select the people you want to upload instead. The best place to look for help on Functions in the Family Historian Help in the Advanced section.
The above code will colour the box if there is a death date and the computed age at death was less than one.
Code: Select all
=IsTrue(Exists(%INDI.DEAT.DATE%) and (Number(%INDI.DEAT.DATE:AGE_AT%) < 1))

Re: Why has my information gone public?
When you search for matches, Family Historian uploads some of the data to compare. It does not permanently upload the information. Are you sure you are not looking at the information from your DB which is used to compare to records offered. This page explains in detail how the matching works. https:...

Re: After upgrade questions
Quick answer to the restore is NO. If the install changed anything it needed to, so restoring the old ones is more likely to harm than good.

I don't think the standard CSV import plugin can take the file so you will probably have to write your own plugin, but you could experiment with it to see and perhaps use it as a base.
