I would expect that many potential purchasers of Family Historian would be in the older age group and discouraged by it's complexity. My task in teaching the program to my elderly Mother in law would be much helped by the configurable Menu and toolbar features of Word and Excel. Perhaps the ideal would be for fully user configurable menus and toolbars coupled with 3 preset versions i.e. Basic, Normal and Full to cater for varying levels of first user ability. |
