Single Page PDF of a Diagram

Introduction

Although FH, as of version 3 does not support PDF format, there are a large number of free or low priced PDF creators available. Creating a single page PDF can be a great way to take large diagrams to non specialist printers to obtain A2 or larger charts with out reverting to sticky tape or glue.

In Version 4 a PDF writer is included, in which case the easiest way is to use the Diagram/Save As/PDF and select the Save as Single Page option. The instructions below will help if you need to adjust the page manually if it produces more than one page because of the maximum page size a PDF page can be.

Details

First install your PDF writer. These all install a printer driver which you use to print from any program to and create a PDF document. See PDF Creators for a list of some of the programs available.

Once the software is installed the printing proccess is similar for all the programs.

  1. Open FH and the diagram you would like to print.
  2. From the File Menu, select Print Set up
  3. Select the PDF writer from the Printer List

  5. Select Print options from the file menu.
