This screen can be accessed by clicking on the *Find* button on the Gedcom Census Main Screen.

An individual can be selected from the list or alternatively you can type in the name of the individual into the text box above the list. The name should be entered as Surname, Forename (with a comma and space between). As you type the list will automatically update to select the first individual to match the criteria. As each individual is selected in the list, information about them is shown in the Selected Individual area on the right-hand portion of the screen.

The lists that are above and below the Selected Individual area of the screen will show the parents, spouses and children of the individual selected. It is possible to find an individual by selecting individuals from the parents, spouses or children lists. The person selected will then appear in the Selected Individual area of the screen. In this way it is possible to browse around the family tree through generations until the person referred to in the census record is found. It is also possible to find an individual if you know their ID by using the Find ID option at the bottom-left side of the screen.

For any selected person, a list of all census events currently recorded will be shown including the census year, their age at the time, census place and address in brackets if it was recorded.

Clicking OK will cause the selected individual to be added to the census record on the main screen. If the Refocus Immediate Family check box is selected then the Immediate Family List on the main screen will change to show, where applicable, the parents, spouse(s) and children of the selected person. Note that this will always happen if this is the first person to be selected for the census entry.
