* Importing custom facts from PAF

I have recently moved my research records from PAF to FH v 6.
Whilst the information in some custom facts that I had set up has transferred I cannot find the facts in the fact set so that I can create appropriate sentences for narrative reports. Should I be able to?

Any help much appreciated.

Welcome to FHUG Diana.
I think custom fact types imported from other genealogy products are 'hidden' by default. Try using Tools>Fact Types and tick the Show Hidden button, centre right. Does that reveal them?

Many thanks Lorna. I've just tried that again and I find it hard to believe - perhaps as I've just updated my software - that these facts are now showing up though they weren't earlier.

Diana, have you seen how_to:import_from_paf|> Import from Personal Ancestral File (PAF)?
In particular the Correct Problems section and useful Plugins should help fix some data issues.
It may avoid the need to sort out so many custom fact type tags.

In particular the Import From PAF Plugin fixes several issues and has Help & Advice on how to adapt PAF data to FH data, especially in the FAQ section.
