This query doesn't work, Mike. It shows deaths in this country as well as abroad? Can it not just show death place ?See:

I've disabled auto save for the last 2 days and there haven't been any error reports. Seems best to continue without auto saving and just save as necessary?

Yes, Helen this is exactly what I want, as some people emigrated before records were started. Could you please show me in diagram form how to set it up?

As I go through my tree, it seems that a lot of people emigrated to different parts of the World, mainly the Commonwealth but other countries too. Is there a way of listing the emigrees by their death place?

Yes Mike I did pause/stop the autosaves but as the problem is intermittent it's difficult to say whether it makes a difference. Maybe if I keep it turned off that will stop the problem?

Problem is that this error doesn't occur all the time. Can I just ignore it especially as I always back up my project when I exit anyway?

Now and again I get an error report saying that FH can't save even though I'm not trying to save anything, see:

No I haven't changed them, Mike. However they working OK now for both spouses on the sample and my own project.

Thank you Mike, did that but doesn't show them? Do I have to exit the program and restart?

I'm trying to find a way to add the spouse to each individual on the initial list of all the people in my tree. I feel sure that this has been answered before but I can't find it?

I understood that the 1939 Register was set up as a record of people alive to join the NHS but over the years it has been amended by marriages, deaths, etc, so in that respect it isn't a static census.

If possible, Lorna, could you show me how you edit the source type in pictures please to reflect the 1939 in AS, I don't understand how and where to amend it?

This might seem a bit picky but would it be possible, Nick, to have a separate data entry mode for the 1939 Register as strictly speaking it isn't a census?
Some of my contacts have picked on it in those terms.

It doesn't seem to when I use it, for instance I have a lot of couples marrying at Warbleton Parish Church but there isn't a list for it? Presumably it's OK if they married in a major town/city?

Why is it necessary to have the vicar's name entered on the AS marriage entry? Most of the time they are unreadable and rarely are they related to the couple.

Would it be possible to have a drop down list for the 'address' of the place where they married. In most cases it seems to be Parish Church and sometimes St. somebody?

That is super jbtapscott. Found it and deleted the wrong witnesses and added the proper ones. Learning all the time as Benny Hill used to say!

I can't see where or how to change the record, it doesn't appear to show the witnesses?

I added a marriage via AS but unfortunately I misread the document and recorded the wrong witnesses. How can I amend the record?

Many thanks Jane for directing me to my browser's extension for 'copy & paste' it works great, much better than Windows 11.
