Ancestral Sources v3: Update Version 3.1 Available

An update to version 3 of Ancestral Sources is now available. It fixes issues that have been reported and adds a small number of new features, including the ability to record deceased parents in marriage and baptism records. A list of all the changes in the update can be seen in the help file or on-line here.

It is available for download now from this site as a Windows 32 bit version and a Windows 64 bit (x64) version. You should download the 64 bit version only if you have a 64-bit version of Windows. Error setting Version

Hi

I upgraded from Version 3.0 to 3.1, and when I launch the new version, I get this error:

Error setting version of auto-text settings file. Erro: The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open.
. Settings File: 'C:\Users\Neil\Documents\Ancestral Sources\Settings\AutoText.xml

That's a new one on me. Can you try rebooting and then running it again? If you still get this problem can you send a copy of the file referred to in the error message to me via email to nick_AT_ancestralsources_DOT_com

(replace _AT_ and _DOT_ with the usual symbols)
