The 3.1.1 release version is identical to the beta version released last month. If you have already installed the beta there is no need to download the release version. The upgrade contains the following support: Some GEDCOM files downloaded from Ancestry have been found to contain bad or missing family relationship links (i.e. the links were incorrectly set up and did not conform to GEDCOM requirements). In the past, Family Historian resolved this problem by simply removing the bad links during validation (i.e. when the file was loaded, or you used the Validate command on the File menu). However, this has meant that users have then had to manually re-enter the missing family relationship information from information provided in a report. Now, in 3.1.1, Family Historian will resolve the problem of the bad links by automatically repairing them, instead of removing them. Sundry minor enhancements and bug fixes.

Yes, I have also had a problem. After downloading, I cannot open it, and receive a message: "The set up files are corrupted. Please obtrain a new copy of the program". I assume 'program' refers to the 3.1.1. download and not FH 3.1 already installed.
Download Problems

I have checked the file and it looks to be fine. This sort of damage is normally caused by a cut off download.
I’ve had a problem updating from 3.1 to 3.1.1 and get this error message: ‘Cannot find import; DLL may be missing, corrupt, or wrong version File “_ISource2.dll”, error 126.’ I’ve attempted this three times and three times had to go to System restore to continue using FH despite emptying cache as recommended. Would it be best to uninstall FH, install version 3 upgrade from my CD and then update to 3.3.1, or is there an easier cure? Tim

Not seen that problem, and the download has downloaded fine, and installed in all tests. I can't think why any download damage would stop you installing 3.1.1
You could try contacting Calico for advice.

Re my message of 1st March, just for information I should say that a second download produced the same message, but the third time was successful, so keep trying folks!

I had the same problem, receiving a message: "The set up files are corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the program". This occurred three times. I did not wish to do the clearing of cookies and caches, because I have too many things that I rely on. I then downloaded the upgrade from the FH site, and it went smoothly.

I have twice downloaded the 3.1.1. but it just drops out at the end, without updating. Do I need to do something else.
