When using the mouse, you typically click in the edit box where you want to type. Many times the position of the mouse cursor obscures the text being entered forcing you to move the cursor after you've clicked or to hope that you're typing is accurate.
Many programs which allow entry of text turn off the cursor whilst the user is typing. FH should do the same, turning it back on the moment the mouse is moved.
