A lot of the people in my family have the same first name and to clarify the tree diagram(and make it more meaningful) I would like middle names to show.
This is controlled by the text scheme. Go to Diagram Options, Text. Choose a scheme - I think most of them display middle names - certainly "birth, marriage, death" does.
